tools & gardening equipment: bradawl

Gdyby nasza Pani Premier miała angielskie nazwisko, nazywałaby się Beata Bradawl...

BRADAWL

To ładnie brzmiące angielskie słówko oznacza "szydło", czyli narzędzie do robienia dziur, np. w pasku.

Nie wiem na ile dzisiaj popularne jest używanie szydła, ale warto znać... może kiedyś się przyda.

A few examples from the Internet:
  • I pre-drilled holes in the length of oak baton and used a bradawl to push through...
  • If the man used a bradawl, he would have been stitching on soles...
  • ...and the last time I used a bradawl was in secondary school...
  • I used a bradawl to put the hole in it and the hose fitted right over it.
I don't remember ever using a bradawl although I have had many situation in my life where this tool would have come in handy. Have you ever used a bradawl? What for? Do you have this tool at home?

My question to you:
What can you a bradawl for?
