Dzisiaj mikser przysłów...



Fajnie jest znać przysłowia... w końcu mówi się, że to mądrości narodu...

Dzisiaj przygotowałem 10 bardziej lub mniej znanych przysłów/powiedzeń angielskich, które przeciąłem 'w połowie' i proszę Was o zidentyfikowanie brakujących płówek :)

Oto i początki:

  1. Two wrongs...
  2. The pen is...
  3. When in Rome...
  4. The squeaky wheel...
  5. When the going gets tough, ...
  6. No man is...
  7. Fortune favors...
  8. People who...
  9. Hope for the best, ...
  10. Better late...
A tutaj końcówki...

  1. mightier than the sword.
  2. live in glass houses should not throw stones.
  3. than never.
  4. do as the Romans.
  5. an island.
  6. but prepared for the worst.
  7. don't make a right.
  8. gets the grease.
  9. the tough get going.
  10. the bold.

  2. many of us who may read this post grew up speaking English, that does not mean that we may not need to improve in one aspect or another of English grammar. Websites that cater to this aspect of writing are always useful.
