How often do you do things under the wire?

Let's try: 
  1. where the rubber meets the road
  2. tough row to hoe
  3. Uncle Sam
  4. under the wire
  5. watch your six
Do you know any of these? If yes, great! If not, take a look at their meanings below:
  1. gdy przychodzi chwila prawdy
  2. twardy orzech do zgryzienia
  3. Wujek Sam (Ameryka, Amerykanie)
  4. w ostatniej chwili
  5. uważać na niebezpieczeństwo nadchodzące z tyłu
And now a few examples:
  1. When all is ready, we'll see where the rubber meets the road.
  2. The relationship with my father is a tough row to hoe.
  3. What will Uncle Sam do about the Ukraine issue?
  4. I hope I won't have to do my presentation under the wire.
  5. Watch your six! There is a cyclist coming behind you!.
