What's the difference between PLUSKWA and KARALUCH?

Bed bug. Source: Wikipedia.

Hi there! It's just a quick post to focus on two  creatures that have become very popular recently, i.e.

PLUSKWA

which in English is called

BED BUG

and

KARALUCH
Death's Head Cockroach. Source: Flickr.

which in English is called

COCKROACH

The species of the latter which is extremely popular though is called Blaberus craniifer, whose official English name is

DEATH'S HEAD COCKROACH

known as

karaczan brazylijski.

Which one would you like to find on a train?

  1. I know one more difference between them. The couple of heroes in "Stardust" movie sang about a COCKROACH (La cucaracha...) and I don't know any song with a BED BUG.

  2. Hi. Thanks for this cool reminder of the song that I associate only with the first commercial on Polish TV at the end of the 80s :) Do you remember the name of the product that was advertised with this song in the background? Here's the link: http://manager.money.pl/strategie/spoty/artykul/prusakolep;przecieral;polskie;szlaki,135,0,341127.html So, unfortunately, the song doesn't take me to 'Gwiezdny pył' but to that old commercial. Here's the song about bed bugs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvR9s9xFxAs :)
