Egzaminator: Read the task and think about what you'd like to say. You have about a minute to prepare.
[Po upływie około minuty, jeśli będzie taka potrzeba, egzaminator wbija się z tekstem następującym...]
Egzaminator: Can you start now?
[Teraz masz około dwóch minut, żeby uporać się z dwoma zadankami. Po pierwsze wybierasz jakiś obrazek z zestawu i uzasadniasz swój wybór. Po drugie wyjaśniasz dlaczego odrzucasz pozostałe obrazki.]
Zdający: It's a great topic to discuss. I love traveling and it is always a great feeling to be able to choose your holiday destination (miejsce na wakacje).
Here, I see two quite distinctive (różne) offers. The first one concerns (dotyczy) holidays on a paradise island (rajska wyspa) while the other one invites us to go for the adventure of a lifetime (przygoda życia).
Personally, I'd choose the first holiday type although it's not the best offer I've ever seen, but since I am to choose something, I'd prefer to spend my holidays on an island, especially on a paradise island :) This holiday type seems to be more relaxing and more exotic for me. I could stay at a hotel, I'd eat at top class restaurants (w wysokiej klasy restauracjach), I could enjoy nature (cieszyć się przyrodą), go on foot around the island, I could go sightseeing (zwiedzanie) and really get pleasure from (cieszyć się) being there.
I'm rejecting (odrzucam) the second offer as it does not appeal to me (nie przemawia do mnie) at all. First of all, I feel put off (zniechęcony) by the landscape (krajobraz) in the picture. I don't find being on a desert (na pustyni) a very attractive experience. Furthermore, I'm not sure if I'd really like to have the adventure of a lifetime if it were to happen on a desert like this.
When I think of holidays, I like to think that this is the time when I relax, recover (zdrowieć) and recharge (ponownie odzyskać siły) my body and spirit rather than worry how to survive another day.
[Teraz przeczhodzimy do drugiej części tego egzaminu, w której egzaminator zadaje ci dwa pytania. Na tę część zadania masz około dwóch minut.]
Egzaminator: Thank you. I will now ask you two questions.
1. Why do you think so many people like beach holidays?
I think there are many reasons for liking beach holidays. Isn't is sheer pleasure to be out in the sun and play in the water? When you are tired you just sit on sand and listen to the relaxing and soothing sound of waves crashing. This is the best way you can think of to chill out and relax.
2. Is travel always educational? Why/Why not?
Hmm... It depends on what sort of person you are and what your destination is. If you're a curious and open person who loves visiting new places and learning new things, then you will always find something education on any journey. On the other hand, if you just go somewhere for the sake of going there or if you visit some place only to impress your friends afterwards, I am afraid you are not likely to learn much.
Egzaminator: Thank you. This is the end of the exam.
