Czas: 5 minut
Egzaminator: Read the task and think about what you'd like to say. You have about a minute to prepare.
[Po upływie około minuty, jeśli będzie taka potrzeba, egzaminator wbija się z tekstem następującym...]
Egzaminator: Can you start now?
[Teraz masz około dwóch minut, żeby uporać się z dwoma zadankami. Po pierwsze wybierasz jakiś obrazek z zestawu i uzasadniasz swój wybór. Po drugie wyjaśniasz dlaczego odrzucasz pozostałe obrazki.]
Zdający: Well... This task is a challenge for me as I have never thought about learning to cook... I have never been good at cooking and such an idea has never crossed my mind (przejść przez myśl)... Since I have to choose one of these pictures, I suppose I'd be inclined (byłbym skłonny) to choose the third one. Why? Although I don't particularly (szczególnie) like the man in the picture, I think, I would like to try the dishes (dania) he has prepared. I have a feeling that whatever he's made here are very healthy (zdrowe), low-calorie (niskokaloryczne) and appetite arousing (pobudzające apetyt) dishes.
When it comes to the other two pictures... I am definitely not keen on (nie przepadam za) grilled stuff so I wouldn't like to watch a program presented in the first picture. Besides, the man doesn't look professional enough (wystarczająco profesjonalnie) in the photo. On the other hand, in the the second picture the woman looks very professional but the food she has made doesn't appeal to me (nie odpowiada mi) at all. As far as I can see, it's a pizza, which is fast food. Since I know too well from my own experience how troublesome (kłopotliwy) it is to lose weight (stracić wagę) since I used to eat fast foods very often, I would never like to learn how to make pizzas or other similar dishes...
[Teraz przeczhodzimy do drugiej części tego egzaminu, w której egzaminator zadaje ci dwa pytania. Na tę część zadania masz około dwóch minut.]
Egzaminator: Thank you. I will now ask you two questions.
1. Who watches cookery programs? Why?
To my mind such programs are watched by people who have a lot of free time on their hands. I don't think these people watch cookery programs because they want to learn anything as these shows usually teach how to make some sophisticated dishes, which is hardly useful in everyday life... I think watching cookery programs is simply a sort of entertainment rather than a desire to learn a new recipe.
2. How important is it to be able to cook?
Hmm... It is important not to be lost in the kitchen and to be able to prepare a few simple dishes when it's necessary. I believe it's more important to be able to read, and whenever you feel like preparing something on your own, you just grab a recipe, read it carefully and do what they say in there... In fact this is what 'the ability' means to me...
Egzaminator: Thank you. This is the end of the exam.
