Service Items: identify the object

Hello! Let's talk about various service items again. Just as last time I have a few simple questions:

  1. Give me one word for plates, bowls, cups,  etc.
  2. Give me one word for knives, forks, spoons, etc.
  3. What is another word for seasoning?
  4. What do you call the in which bread is served?
  5. What do you call the thing used for lifting asparagus?
  6. What do you call the thing that stops the tea-leaves going into the cup?
  7. What is the thing that holds necessary items and provides a work surface for the waiters?
  8. What do you call one place for one person at the table?
  9. What is the thing that you use for wheeling sweets to the table?
  10. What do you use to break the shells of nuts?
  11. What do you serve a boiled egg in?
  12. What do you place on the plate under the biscuits?
Just leave answers to questions you know answers to. You don't have to answer all questions of course. :)

Good luck!

Nice questions, Rafal. Also, since I still can't figure out where to put the Lyrics on your Blog that need Polish translation, I'm adding them here:

    Traditional Lyrics
Nobody knows the trouble I've seen
    Nobody knows but Jesus
Nobody knows the trouble I've seen
    Glory hallelujah!

Sometimes I'm up, sometimes I'm down
    Oh, yes, Lord
Sometimes I'm almost to the ground
    Oh, yes, Lord

Although you see me going 'long so
    Oh, yes, Lord
I have my trials here below
    Oh, yes, Lord

If you get there before I do
    Oh, yes, Lord
Tell all-a my friends I'm coming to HEAVEN!
    Oh, yes, Lord

    1. Hi Jay! Thanks for your comment! Don't worry about having pasted the lyrics here. I am working on this :) Will send it to you asap. You know what.. I have an idea... Why don't you produce a post on 'religious music' or something similar, send it to me in an e-mail, and I'll gladly put it on my blog. This would be just the place for religious music, etc. What do you think?

When it comes to your answers...
      3. would be ok but I still need a different word for it
      5. the same here, just one word please :)
      6. tea strainer (is a perfect answer) - Polish: sitko do herbaty
      7. nutcracker (perfect as well) - Polish: dziadek do orzechów

Thanks! Hope to hear from you soon!

    2. There you go!

      Tekst oryginalny
Nikt nie wie, ile nieszczęścia widziałem
      Nikt, poza Jezusem
Nikt nie wie, ile nieszczęścia widziałem
      Chwała Panu! Alleluja!

      Doświadczam upadków i wzlotów
      O tak, Panie
      Czasem sięgam niemal dna
      O tak, Panie

      Choć widzisz jak idę naprzód
      O tak, Panie
      I jak poddawany jestem próbom
      O tak, Panie

      Jeśli dojdziesz tam przede mną
      O tak, Panie
Powiedz wszystkim moim przyjaciołom, że idę do NIEBA!
      O tak, Panie

Should anybody have any other idea, please write here!
