Zadanie 2 - Świat przyrody (przykładowa odpowiedź)

OUP Photocopiable
Czas: 4 minuty
[Po upływie ok. 10 sekund, egzaminator niestety wbija się z pytaniem: Can you start now?]

:) No to jedziemy...

(Kto?)
The picture is rather distressing (niepokojący, smutny). I see a young woman in an empty room of a house. The woman is in her thirties. She has blond hair and is wearing a pink kind of suit (komplet). It is a pink sweater over a white blouse and pink shorts. She is also wearing white high-heeled shoes (buty na wysokim obcasie). The woman must have just come to visit the house after raging flood (szelejąca powódź).

(Gdzie?)
As I have just said the woman is probably in her house which was devastated by flood (zniszczony przez powódź) a few weeks before. She is in one of the rooms. The room is in terrible condition... The floor is covered (pokryta) with debris (rumowisko, gruzy). The walls are dirty and maybe even molded (pokryte pleśnią). I see the radiator (grzejnik) had already been dismounted (zdemontowany) and maybe the room is being made ready (jest przygotowywany) for redecoration (odnowienie). There is also some debris on the window sills (parapety).

(Co się dzieje?)
Well, the woman is squatting (kuca). She is resting her head on her hands (trzyma głowę w dłoniach) and looks as if (jakby) she is deep in thought (pogrążona w myślach). She is probably trying to analyze her current situation (bieżąca sytuacja). She may be thinking about further steps (dalsze kroki) to take (do podjęcia) now, where to take money from to renovate (odnowić) the house, and how to restore (przywrócić) her life to the way it was before...

  1. How do you think the girl is feeling? Why do you think so? (This question has already been answered, so the examiner will not ask it. That's why it's always better to say a bit more...)
  2. What can be done to help people who have suffered in disasters like this? (It's a tough question because you can answer this question two-fold... On the first level you can help yourself as an individual by offering your help. It may be financial help or it may be just your time and labor. You can assist in cleaning, removing debris, cleaning, etc. On the other level, you can help by financially supporting such organizations as the Red Cross or Caritas.)
  3. Describe a campaign that was organized in your area or that you saw on TV to help victims of a natural disaster. (Yes, I remember the year 2010 when the so called Central European floods were devastating many countries in that part of Europe, but Poland was most seriously affected... Poland received then aid from a few European Union countries. The City of Cracow declared a state of emergency. Many people died and thousands were evacuated. Poland also received help from such countries as Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia within the BaltFloodCombat program. Poland also got help from Russia.)

Po wszystkim egzaminator mówi:
Thank you.
Let's move on to Task 3.

[Jeżeli zdający rezygnuje z wykonania zadania: Thank you. This is the end of the exam.]

Masz sugestie, komentarze, uwagi? Swoją wersję tego obrazka? A może jakieś pytania? Wal śmiało w postach. Odpowiadam na wszystkie posty! :)
